This Blog is about a workshop I teach for cancer survivors based on my book, Fear Not! Learning from your Cancer. I will be sharing exercises and examples from the classes I have taught and am teaching.  I invite you to virtually be a part of this class.  To quote Socrates, "An unexamined life is not worth living."  Our emphasis is on what we have learned and are learning from the challenge that cancer presents in our lives.
Since the class is a six week study, this blog will also be in six parts:
     1. We consider our entire lives so far.  You are so much more than your cancer.  It is only one part    of who you are. See outline of part 1.
     2. We consider our attitude toward cancer.  What makes the difference is not the event but the eyes through which it is seen.  See outline of part 2.
     3. We consider our personal response to our cancer diagnoses.  See outline of part 3.
     4. We consider pain, endurance and courage.  How do we cope?  See outline of part 4.
     5.  We consider bodily changes and images. See outline of part 5.
     6.  We look for patterns that begin to emerge and help us toward understanding ourselves.  Each section invites us to consider some deep faith questions.  See outline of part 6.
In an atmosphere of acceptance and understanding we seek to learn from each other.
